Blog post #10
My participation for Call to Action Day was about helping under privilege have a good time. The way i did that is by going to the Tenderloin to play dodge ball with them at the playground. The main organizer of this event was the professor Dr. Don. My experience there was enjoy just playing dodge ball with the children was a fun time especially because we help them have a good time. This event help reflect on some themes through what we have learn in class in the sense that we should always help other people. When we have the guest speakers of the nuns they taught us to help others in way that we touch their hearts. Most of this kids live in poverty since the Tenderloin is a lower class society. The way that this reflects on the Hallmarks of the Sisters of Norte Dame is by providing help to the community. The sisters has always taught us to go out of our own way to teach and learn from a community. They have taught us to discover about ourselves and what we are capable of doing by helping others. I am glad that I experience this with the children and that I provided some help.
